We love a good picnic once the Summer weather kicks in, so we’ve put together a list of our favorite choices for your picnic hamper. Grab one of everything, call up your favorite person, go find a spot for your blanket in the park and ENJOY!

Cheese: we have a whole range of cheese available at Southport, but our pick for an outdoor meal would have to be Beehive Cheese’s “Barely Buzzed” since it’s a very unique flavor and also on the harder side so it won’t melt super fast. It’s a full bodied cheese, hand rubbed with espresso and lavender.

Crackers: what’s cheese without a cracker?! We highly recommend Simple & Crisps beautiful dried fruit crackers, which are naturally gluten free and deliciously fruity.

Meat: Underground Meat’s Summer Sausage is such a winner in our book. It’s a German style sausage which has been fermented and smoked, giving it a rich flavor with a keen array of spices.

Salad: We have a range of single serving to-go-salads available everyday but our favorite is the preserved lemon, peanut, broccoli salad. It’s packed full of flavor and nutrients too! The preserved lemons are made in house and add a zesty twist to this delicious, crunchy salad which is perfect for sharing.

Something Sweet: Our Lemon Shortbread & new Roasted Rhubarb Preserve would make a delicious combination. The preserve will also go great with cheese & crackers by the way! Yay for products with multiple uses!

Something to snack on: Trail Mix bag – this salty/sweet combo will provide some extra protein and energy for the hike you’ll be doing post-picnic! 🙂

Drinks: Underwood Wine cans – each can holds 2 glasses of wine so they’re perfect for sharing! We currently have rosé, pinot noir or pinot gris – whichever one tickles your fancy.
