There are small companies that bring a passion and expertise in a package that makes you just want to be apart of what they are doing. Like being drawn in by someone’s love in what they do – our buddies over at Vinejoy do just that for us. They bring to us wines that have a tale, a story, are handmade by those passionate like themselves (and us). Their our bridge to those doing what they love, doing what they love. When they brought in Field Recordings Wine‘s Fiction we couldn’t believe our palate.

A young-gun in the wine world, at the ripe age of 29, Andrew Jones bring his expertise as a vine nursery employee to table. Getting to know growers from all up and down California and his close ties to the famed Central Coast – he uses his ‘insider’ info to snatch up some of the best fruit. Andrew picks the unique vineyards for his small batch wines, unknowns in a sea of heavy hitters, his wines become the shining needle in a very large haystack.

We think the beautiful labels rings true to the nature of his hand-picked wines, bringing nature and super-natural into being. The white wine is fantastic, pulling together Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat in a bottle of white like no other, fantastic for these dog-days. A young, hip rose matches the style and intrigue of the white in a you’ve-got-to-try-this excitement that can only be described as summer-perfect.

Grab some of Field Recordings ‘Fiction,’ they are as nature: beautiful and exist as-is once.
