Have you ever had sage in your caramel sauce? Nope? Same here! We’re big fans of all Hot Cakes products and this baby is no exception, so we’re thrilled to have it on our grocery shelves. This decadent White Sage Caramel Sauce is part of the recently launched “Wilderness Collection” which includes a range of incredible caramel sauces, showcasing flavors of the forest.

It all started back in 2008, when Autumn Martin set up a farmers market stand selling her famous molten chocolate cakes. Now she successfully runs an online store as well as 2 dessert restaurants in Seattle, Washington. Since she is an avid surfer, hiker and snowboarder, it made sense to incorporate her love of the great outdoors into her wilderness-inspired desserts.

This sauce in particular is made using sacred white sage, grown in the Mojave and Sonoran deserts and embodying all the beauty and flavor that the desert has to offer. Using simple, organic, non-gmo ingredients, the sauce is made the old school way – slowly! The sugar is caramelized slowly until it smokes a little and turns a deep amber color with great depth of flavor. We’re getting giddy just thinking about it.

Hot Cakes suggest making a delicious caramel milkshake or elevating your s’mores with this sage caramel sauce. We love it drizzled over a brownie or vanilla ice cream. It’s guaranteed to make any dessert better. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
