- Comments Off on Our Michelin Guide Review – 2013
We wanted to share our review from this year’s Michelin Guide:
Open for breakfast and lunch, this sleep neighborhood bistro also offers (as the name suggests) enough homey dishes for take-away and extensive top-of-the-line ingredients to keep even the most finicky foodie happy. Locals love this place, which occasionally leads to long lines on the weekends and lots of high-energy conversations inside.
The made-from-scratch vibe is apparent in all the dishes, providing a welcome alternative to the greasy spoon breakfasts. The chopped salad with herded buttermilk dressing is a meal unto itself. Sandwiches may include the roast beef melt, with pickled vegetables, smoked Swiss, and crispy shallots. Save room for the grilled coffee cake, stuffed with cream cheese and grilled until gooey – it’s as decadent as it sounds.
Many thanks to the secret inspectors!
