- Comments Off on Our English Muffins – Say ‘Ello Govna’
Another recent addition to our bakery‘s repertoire – our English Muffins. These cavern filled patties can be traced as far back as the 10th century, but only became popular in the 18th and the muffin man came to its own in the 19th. We wanted to create our own for their unbelievably tastiness when fresh. A mixing, and a rolling and away we go.
The dough is then cut to shape and size and placed on a tray with cornmeal. this allows the muffins to brown for 10 minutes on each side in the pan without burning and sticking, also adding a hint of ‘bite’. They are then ready to be split and toasted, ready to devour.
There really is nothing like a still-warm English Muffin with a pad of butter and jam or one book-ending a tasty breakfast sandwich.
Pick up one for yourself to see what all of the fuss is about, or order a whole host of them for a home-hosted brunch (48h notice required). Have a favorite way to use English Muffins? Want to profess your desire to mow one down? Leave us a comment below!
