We may have been gone for a short spell on the blog while the website was resigned, but we kept adding new, amazing goods on our shelves, so without anymore waiting – let’s get to it!

It may not come as a surprise to some – but there is a lot more than corn in Iowa. On the far side of Des Moines, the neighboring town of West Des Moines – hunkered against the Raccoon River – is where our newest BBQ Sauce purveyors reside. They are proof positive that other things, even fantastic things, come from Iowa.

We currently carry their Sassy sauce – which provides the right amount of punch and a wide breadth of flavor. It’s hearty and rich like any good mid-western style is, but provides enough bite to back up it’s swagger. The tomato in the recipes gives it a lovely depth when brushing it on ribs, or a toasted burger bun. It won’t hide or hinder your freshly cooked meats – it’s a spiced up umami-filled spread that is crafted by hand in small batches to make for the a great addition to BBQ – indoor or outdoor.
